November 11th, 2017 – Roll for a Reason Annual Fundraiser Gala

Roll-For-A-Reason-300

The numbers are in and we are thrilled to announce that we raised over $150,000 at this year’s gala! We can’t thank you all enough for your support and generosity. This simply would not be possible without you

It was an incredible night that featured a touching performance of the song Momentary Man by Brian Ralston, a scientific update from our Chief Scientific Advisor Jim Dilmore, and our announcement to award our $50,000 grant to Dr. Amantha Thathiah of Pittsburgh Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases (PIND) for the second consecutive year.

We also auctioned off tons of amazing items including a signed Andrew Mccutchen bat, a Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers signed guitar,  and trips to Mexico, Big Sky Montana, & Sanibel Island. George Williams once again wowed the room with his art madness creating two amazing Pittsburgh-themed works before our eyes. And we capped off the night with a live auction of  an authentic Prince autographed guitar, which went for $9,000!

Check out a video of the night’s events!

Words cannot express our gratitude. We thank those of you who contributed to this success from the bottom of our hearts. It fills us with great pride and happiness that our community continues to come together in the face of this terrible disease time and time again and pushes forward. It is only through our combined efforts that we will one day end the scourge of dementia.

If you couldn’t make it out this year, we have some good news! We will be back at J. verno Studios once again next year for another Roll for a Reason Gala on Saturday, November 17th, 2018! Mark your calendars now and keep an eye out for updates after the new year!

Thanks again to all of you who made this year’s Roll for a Reason Gala a huge success!
