Jim Dilmore, Ph.D. – Chief Scientific Advisor

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware, Jim attended graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Neuroscience, graduating in 2000 with a Ph.D.  In a change of pace, Jim started working at a large local law firm in an intellectual property group providing technical input on complex biological and chemical matters.  Jim continued his legal career by attending night school at the Duquesne University School of Law, from which he graduated in 2013. Jim is now a principal with the law firm Beck & Thomas P.C.

Like many members of CTF, Jim has personally been impacted by dementia, with several family members suffering from dementia.  Jim plans on utilizing his legal and scientific background to contribute to CTF’s mission of educating the public about dementia and its impacts, as well as working towards a better understanding and eventually a cure for this group of horrible diseases.
